On December 2, the Catholic Church honors Saint Bibiana (also spelled Viviana), a 4th-century Roman virgin and martyr known for her unwavering faith during a time of severe persecution.
Saint Bibiana lived during the reign of Emperor Julian the Apostate, who attempted to restore paganism and suppress Christianity. After her parents and sister were killed for their faith, Bibiana herself was arrested and pressured to abandon Christ. She refused to deny her faith, choosing instead to remain faithful to Jesus even at the cost of her life. She endured harsh suffering and ultimately received the crown of martyrdom.
Saint Bibiana is traditionally invoked as a patroness for those struggling with anxiety, stress, mental suffering, and nervous disorders. Her courage reminds us that even in our hardest moments, God gives strength to remain faithful.
Short Prayer to Saint Bibiana
Saint Bibiana, brave and faithful martyr,
pray for all who suffer in mind and heart.
Help us to stand firm in faith as you did,
trusting always in Christ our Lord. Amen.

Leave us your prayers…
