Prayer for Day 19 of Lent
Heavenly Father,
Merciful God of all compassion,
on this nineteenth day of our Lenten journey,
we come before You with humble and contrite hearts. You call us to seek You with our whole being,
promising that when we search for You earnestly,
we shall find You (Deuteronomy 4:29).
Renew our strength today, O Lord.
Stir within us a deeper hunger for Your presence
and a firmer resolve to love You above all things. Remove from our lives every distraction and complacency
that keeps us from hearing Your voice clearly.
Help us to obey Your commandments not out of fear,
but out of grateful love for the One who gave everything for us—
Your Son, Jesus Christ, who fasted in the desert
and now invites us to follow Him to the Cross and beyond.
Lord Jesus, our Redeemer,
teach us to die to self more each day,
to forgive as we have been forgiven,
and to show mercy as Your mercy has covered our sins.
Grant us the grace to persevere in prayer, fasting, and almsgiving,
so that our hearts may be purified
and our wills aligned more perfectly with Yours. Holy Spirit, come and kindle in us the fire of Your love.
Sustain us through the remaining days of this holy season,
that we may arrive at Easter joy
transformed and ready to proclaim the victory of the Resurrection. We ask this through Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Leave us your prayers…
