Prayer for the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord
O Jesus, King of glory,
You ascended triumphantly to the Father’s right hand.
Through Your Ascension, You opened the gates of heaven
and prepared a place for us. Grant that we may desire the things that are above,
not the things of earth,
and that one day we may follow You into eternal life.
