About St. Andrew the Apostle
St. Andrew the Apostle was the brother of St. Peter and one of the Twelve Apostles chosen by Jesus Christ. Before becoming a disciple of Jesus, Andrew was a fisherman on the Sea of Galilee and a follower of St. John the Baptist. When John identified Jesus as the Lamb of God, Andrew immediately followed Christ and became the first Apostle to answer His call, earning the title “the First-Called.”
