St. Olivia of Palermo,
you were born into a noble Sicilian family yet chose a life of poverty, chastity, and devotion to Christ.
When persecutors ravaged your land and imprisoned Christians, you courageously visited and consoled them.
Exiled and tortured for your faith, you remained steadfast, converting many through your miracles and unwavering witness, even unto martyrdom.
Intercede for us, dear saint, that we may have your courage in the face of trials, your zeal for the Gospel, and your purity of heart.
Help us to persevere in faith, to comfort those who suffer, and to proclaim Christ boldly in our daily lives.
As patron of music and protector against drought, pray for harmony in our families and churches, and for God’s blessings upon the lands and people entrusted to our care. St. Olivia, virgin and martyr, pray for us!
