What is the Daniel Fast?
The Daniel fast is a 21 day spiritual fasting period. It involves praying to God for special petitions. These are petitions that we can’t achieve by prayer alone. The fast is inspired by the prophet Daniel. He humbled himself before God and cried for the sins of his people. This happened while they were in exile in Babylon.

At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.
