On October 2, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Guardian Angels, reminding us of God’s loving care for each soul. From the moment of our birth, God assigns every person a guardian angel to watch over, guide, and protect them on their journey toward eternal life. These heavenly companions inspire us to remain close to God, avoid sin, and grow in holiness.
This feast, established in the 17th century, encourages us to trust in God’s providence and to remember that we are never alone — our angels are always by our side.
Prayer
Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
