Catholic Prayer for April 27, 2026

Prayer for the Mass (from the Liturgy of the Day)

O God, perfect light of the blessed,
by whose gift we celebrate the paschal mysteries on earth,
bring us, we pray, to the joy of the heavenly city,
where we may praise you with all the saints.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer to Saint Zita of Lucca

(Saint Zita is the saint commemorated on April 27. She is the patron saint of domestic workers, homemakers, and lost keys. She lived a life of humble service, patience, and charity as a servant in 13th-century Italy.)

O God, who called Saint Zita to serve you faithfully
in the humble duties of domestic life,
grant that, through her intercession and example,
we may perform our daily tasks with patience and love,
and find in serving others a path to holiness.
Help us to imitate her kindness to the poor
and her trust in your divine providence.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Saint Zita, pray for us!

Morning Offering (a beautiful daily Catholic prayer to start the day)

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day
for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world,
for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins,
the reunion of all Christians,
and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month.
Amen.
