Heavenly Father,
as we continue the journey between the Ascension of Your Son
and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost,
fill our hearts with hope, faith, and holy expectation.
Like the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary
gathered in prayer in the Upper Room in Jerusalem,
teach us to wait upon You with trust and perseverance.
Come, Holy Spirit,
renew our hearts and pour upon us Your sacred gifts:
wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety,
and fear of the Lord.
Help us to live each day with joy,
to grow closer to Jesus,
and to become faithful witnesses of the Gospel in our homes, families, and communities.
May Your peace remain within us,
and may our hearts always long for Heaven,
where Christ has prepared a place for us.
