About all Saints Novena
The All Saints Novena is a powerful nine-day devotion leading up to the Feast of All Saints on November 1st. This novena honors all the holy men and women who now rejoice with God in Heaven — both the canonized saints and the countless unknown souls who lived lives of faith, virtue, and love.
Through this novena, we thank God for the example of the saints, ask for their intercession, and renew our desire to become saints ourselves. Each day reminds us that holiness is not reserved for a few, but is the universal call of every Christian.
The saints teach us that we can serve God faithfully in every vocation and circumstance — in joy and suffering, in prayer and action, in simplicity and love. By praying this novena, we unite ourselves with the entire Communion of Saints, asking them to guide us on our journey toward Heaven.

Who are the All Saints?

Why do Catholics ask the saints to pray for them?
Catholics believe the saints are alive with Christ in Heaven and continue to pray for the Church on earth. Asking for their intercession is like asking faithful friends to pray for us, while recognizing that God alone is the source of every grace.
Is praying to the saints biblical?
Catholics understand that the faithful remain united in Christ, even after death. Scripture teaches that the prayers of the righteous are powerful (James 5:16), and the Book of Revelation portrays the saints in Heaven presenting the prayers of God’s people before Him (Revelation 5:8; 8:3–4). Catholics therefore ask the saints to intercede with God on their behalf, while worship is given to God alone.
Is the Novena to All Saints only for All Saints’ Day?
No. Although it is especially popular before the Solemnity of All Saints on November 1, the novena may be prayed throughout the year whenever you desire the intercession of the saints.
What is the Communion of Saints?
The Communion of Saints is the spiritual union of all believers in Christ—the faithful on earth, the souls being purified, and the saints in Heaven. Together they form one family united in Christ and support one another through prayer.
