What is Saint Eulalia known for?
St. Eulalia was a teenage martyr of early 4th-century Hispania. Born in Mérida, she boldly professed Christ before the Roman governor during Diocletian’s persecution. At just 13, she endured cruel torments—yet never renounced her faith. Tradition holds that after she was tortured on a spiked cross, a sudden winter snowfall miraculously covered her body, preserving her purity. Her witness inspired many to embrace the Gospel, and she reigns as a model of courageous faith and innocent love for Christ.
