About the Holy Face of Jesus
The devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus has deep roots in Catholic tradition and calls the faithful to contemplate the suffering Face of Christ during His Passion. It was especially promoted in the nineteenth century through the Carmelite nun Sr. Marie of St. Peter and later spread through the efforts of Venerable Leo Dupont, often called the “Holy Man of Tours.”
