O glorious St. John Bosco, who devoted your life to leading young people to the feet of the Divine Master and to forming them in the light of the Catholic faith and Christian virtue, you joyfully sacrificed yourself for their salvation until the end of your earthly life.

You founded the Salesian family so that your mission of educating and guiding the young might continue throughout the world. Through your prayers and example, obtain for us from Our Lord a sincere love for young people, especially those who are most vulnerable to temptation, discouragement, and the dangers of the world.
