About St. Therese (The Little Flower)

St. Thérèse of Lisieux, also known as “The Little Flower of Jesus,” was a French Carmelite nun who lived a quiet, hidden life but became one of the most beloved saints in the Catholic Church. Born in 1873, she entered the Carmelite convent at just 15 years old, desiring to love Jesus with all her heart.
Though she never went on missions or performed great public works, Thérèse offered her daily duties, struggles, and prayers with great love. She called this her “Little Way”—doing small things with great love for God. Her deep spiritual writings, found in her autobiography Story of a Soul, have inspired millions.
She died at just 24 years old, promising to spend her heaven “doing good on earth.” Countless people have felt her powerful intercession and described receiving “a shower of roses” after praying to her.
