About St. Thomas More
Saint Thomas More is one of the most inspiring Catholic saints of courage, integrity, and unwavering faith. Known as a brilliant lawyer, scholar, and statesman, he served as Lord Chancellor of England before giving his life in defense of the Catholic faith and the authority of the Church.

Who Was Saint Thomas More?
Saint Thomas More was born in London, England, in 1478. He received an excellent education and became one of the most respected lawyers and intellectuals of his time.
He served King Henry VIII as Lord Chancellor, one of the highest offices in England. Despite his important position, Thomas More remained deeply devoted to prayer, family life, and the Catholic faith.
When King Henry VIII declared himself head of the Church in England, Thomas More refused to approve the king’s actions because they violated his conscience and the authority of the Pope.
Because of his fidelity to the truth, he was imprisoned in the Tower of London.
