About St. Charles Borrmeo
St. Charles Borromeo was born in 1538 into a noble family in northern Italy. From a young age, he showed a deep love for the Church and a spirit of service. After studying canon and civil law, he became a priest and was soon made a cardinal by his uncle, Pope Pius IV.

He played a major role in the Council of Trent, helping to reform and renew the Church during the Counter-Reformation. As Archbishop of Milan, St. Charles worked tirelessly for the poor, reformed seminaries to ensure holy and educated priests, and personally cared for the sick during a terrible plague, even at great risk to his own life.

He died at the age of 46 in 1584, leaving behind a legacy of holiness, courage, and deep pastoral care.

Prayer:
St. Charles Borromeo, faithful shepherd of souls, pray for us that we may serve God and His Church with the same zeal, humility, and love that filled your heart. Amen.
