Saint Hyacintha of Mariscotti (1585–1640) was an Italian Franciscan tertiary whose life is a powerful testimony to God’s transforming grace. Born into a noble family, she initially lived a life focused on comfort and social status, even after entering religious life.
Through a serious illness and deep spiritual awakening, Saint Hyacintha experienced a conversion of heart. She embraced penance, humility, and works of mercy, dedicating herself to caring for the sick, the poor, and those forgotten by society.
