(March 21, 2025)
Lent is not just a time of self-denial, but a time of spiritual renewal. It’s a season that teaches us how to depend more fully on God and less on our own strength. We might have started this journey with grand expectations, but Lent asks us to embrace the small, humble steps, even in the face of struggles. Like Jesus in the wilderness, we are invited to rely on God’s provision, not on the comforts or distractions that the world offers.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:5-6
Today, let us ask ourselves: How has our relationship with God deepened? What lessons have we learned through sacrifice? And, most importantly, have we opened our hearts to the love and mercy that God extends to us, no matter where we are in our spiritual journey?
Prayer:
Lord, help me to embrace the small steps of this journey. Teach me to find peace in the quiet moments, to trust in Your will, and to let go of the things that pull me away from You. Grant me the strength to persevere, the wisdom to learn, and the humility to grow. Amen
Fasting is the death of sin, the destruction of our crimes and the remedy of our salvation. -St. Ambrose
Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
