(March 26, 2025)
In the Gospel, we often see Jesus challenging us to go beyond the letter of the law and to embrace its deeper meaning—love, mercy, and justice. Our Lenten sacrifices are meant to help us strip away the distractions and attachments that keep us from fully following Him. As we reflect on the past days of this season, let us ask ourselves: have I grown closer to God, or have I become preoccupied with the rituals without truly surrendering my heart?
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. -Matthew 16:25
Prayer:
Grant me the strength to continue this Lenten journey with a renewed sense of purpose, knowing that every sacrifice I make, every prayer I offer, and every act of kindness is a step closer to you. Amen
The devil is afraid of us when we pray and make sacrifices. He is also afraid when we are humble and good. He is especially afraid when we love Jesus very much. He runs away when we make the Sign of the Cross. -St. Anthony the Great
Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
