Day 17: 40 Days of Lent 2025

(March 24, 2025)

nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’ For, in fact, the kingdom of God is among you.” -Luke 17:21

As we reach the halfway point of our Lenten journey, it is a time to pause and reflect on the progress we have made. Lent is not only a season of penance but also an opportunity for deep transformation. In these 40 days, we are invited to reflect on the areas of our lives where we need healing, renewal, and a closer relationship with God.

This season also calls us to think of others, to lift up those who are struggling, and to offer our prayers and sacrifices in solidarity with those in need. Just as Christ gave Himself for us, we are called to give of ourselves to those around us. It is through these acts of love, prayer, and self-denial that we can experience true transformation in Christ.

Prayer:

Grant us the strength to continue our Lenten practices with a spirit of humility, patience, and hope. Help us to grow in our faith and to become more loving and compassionate, just as Christ has called us to be. Amen

”…We honor God by our fasts when we fast for his sake…” -St. Robert Bellarmine

Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
