Saint Joan de Lestonnac (1556–1640) was a French Catholic saint and the founder of the Company of Mary Our Lady, devoted to the Christian education of girls. After enduring many personal trials, including widowhood and opposition from her family, she courageously followed God’s call to religious life. Through prayer, perseverance, and trust in God, she helped renew society by forming young hearts in faith. Saint Joan is remembered for her strength, humility, and dedication to education.
