Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28
Let’s be honest… some days, Lent feels hard.
Not because we’re suffering so deeply, but because we’re just tired—tired of trying to be “better,” tired of praying when we don’t feel anything, tired of carrying the same struggles day after day.
And maybe, if we’re really being honest, a part of us wonders: Is this even working? Is God really changing anything in me?
But here’s the quiet truth I’m learning:
God isn’t measuring how “perfect” your Lent is. He’s not impressed by performance.
He’s just looking for your heart. Even a tired, discouraged, distracted one.
Lent isn’t about proving our love for God.
It’s about letting Him love us… even in the mess.
So if all you have today is a whispered prayer, a small act of love, or just showing up when you don’t feel like it — that’s enough.
Really. That’s enough.
Prayer:
Jesus,
Today I feel weak. A little worn out. Maybe even frustrated.
But I’m here.
I don’t have perfect prayers or big sacrifices to offer You—
Just my tired heart. My honest questions. And my hope that You’re still working in me.
Please meet me here, in the middle of the mess.
Help me remember that You’re not asking for perfection, just presence.
Remind me that even small steps toward You matter.
Carry me today, Lord, when I don’t feel strong enough to carry the cross myself.
Amen.
Patience is the companion of wisdom.” St. Augustine
Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16

Leave us your prayers…
