As we enter the later days of Lent, we draw closer to the heart of Christ’s passion. In the Garden of Gethsemane, we witness Jesus at His most human and most divine—fully aware of the suffering ahead, yet fully surrendered to the will of the Father. This moment reveals the depth of His love: not a love that is easy or comfortable, but a love that chooses obedience over fear, trust over escape.
Prayer:
Give me the grace to say with Your Son, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”
In my own moments of anxiety or uncertainty, remind me that You are with me in the garden, and You never ask me to walk alone.
Strengthen my trust. Deepen my faith. Let this journey of Lent draw me closer to the mystery of Your love and the power of Your surrender.
I offer You my struggles today as a gift of love. Use them for Your glory. Amen
