Day 30: 40 Days of Lent 2025

(April 8, 2025)

In the Gospel, Jesus calls us to a deeper conversion, reminding us that it’s not enough to simply follow the law or go through the motions of religious rituals. True conversion of heart requires a transformation from within, a change in our very attitudes and desires. It requires a humility that acknowledges our weaknesses and a trust that God can heal and transform us.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the grace You have given us throughout this Lenten season. As we approach the final days, we ask for the strength to persevere in our commitment to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
We confess that we have often fallen short of Your call to holiness. We ask for Your forgiveness for the times we have not lived as You desire. Amen

The goal of fasting is inner unity. This means hearing, but not with the ear; hearing, but not with the understanding; it is hearing with the spirit, with your whole being. -Father Thomas Merton

Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
