“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” – Psalm 51:10
Reflection
As we step into the 34th day of our Lenten journey, we may be feeling the weight of the season—maybe even a little tired, maybe wrestling with distractions, or facing parts of ourselves we’d rather avoid. And yet, here we are. Still walking. Still seeking.
Lent is not about being perfect. It’s about being honest—with God, with others, and with ourselves. This journey invites us to come as we are, not as we think we should be. And in that coming, God meets us with mercy, not judgment.
Psalm 51 is a cry from someone who knows they’ve fallen but refuses to stay down. It’s not a prayer of someone pretending to be holy; it’s the raw plea of someone who longs to be made whole. And maybe that’s where we are today—longing not just to be forgiven but to be made new.
This is a good time to pause and ask ourselves: What do I need to hand over to God today? What is He gently asking me to release so He can restore me?
God isn’t afraid of our mess. He steps into it. And He transforms.
Prayer:
Lord,
You see me fully—every part of my heart, even the parts I try to hide.
Still, You love me. Still, You call me to come closer.
On this 34th day of Lent, I ask You to cleanse what’s grown tired,
To renew what has withered in me,
To awaken what is asleep. Amen
I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.” St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
