“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.”
— Psalm 37:7
Sometimes, Lent brings us to a strange place—a place where God seems quiet. We’re praying, fasting, doing our best… and yet, it can feel like heaven has gone silent.
But maybe that silence isn’t absence—it’s invitation.
An invitation to trust.
An invitation to sit in the quiet with Jesus, especially as we draw closer to His Passion. After all, much of Holy Week will be marked not by miracles or big revelations, but by silence:
The silence of Gethsemane.
The silence of betrayal.
The silence of the tomb.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus,
When I feel nothing, help me believe everything.
When I grow tired of praying, remind me that You still listen.
When the silence feels heavy, teach me to rest in You, not run from You.
I unite this moment—dry as it is—to Your suffering in the garden.
Strengthen my heart. Purify my intentions. And help me keep walking with You, one small step at a time.
I trust You. I love You. I need You.
Amen.

Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
