Our God, Jesus Christ, is a jealous God, and He wants you to love Him more than anyone else.
Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. -Matthew 10:37
In the busyness of life, it’s easy to forget that God desires more than just our external actions; He seeks a deep, authentic relationship with us. It’s about the intention behind our actions. Are we seeking to grow closer to Him in everything we do, or are we simply going through the motions?
Prayer:
We pray for Your peace, Lord, that it may fill our hearts and overflow into the world around us. Help us to be instruments of Your love, showing compassion, kindness, and mercy to all those we meet.
Be generous to the poor orphans and those in need. The man to whom our Lord has been liberal ought not to be stingy. We shall one day find in Heaven, as much rest and joy as we ourselves have dispensed in this life. -St. Ignatius of Loyola
