Day 23: 40 Days of Lent 2025

(March 31, 2025) Monday of the Fourth Week of Lent

Jesus didn’t come for the perfect. He came for the broken, the tired, and the weary. He’s not asking for perfection but for willingness—to open our hearts to His grace, even when it’s difficult. Today’s reflection is an invitation to acknowledge where we need healing and to turn those parts of ourselves over to God.

On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” -Mark 2:17

Lent is about surrendering what’s heavy—our burdens, our imperfections—so we can make room for God’s peace and love. Let’s ask for the strength to embrace this process, no matter how uncomfortable it may feel at times.

Prayer:

Lord, give me the courage to face the parts of myself that I’d rather hide. Help me to see myself through Your eyes, full of love and grace, and to know that I don’t have to be perfect to be worthy of Your love. I ask for the strength to keep walking this journey of Lent with a humble and open heart.

Show me your hands. Do they have scars from giving? Show me your feet. Are they wounded in service? Show me your heart. Have you left a place for divine love?” -Ven. Fulton Sheen

Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
