(April 7, 2025)
Lent is a time to reflect on where we may have buried parts of our hearts, where we have grown distant from God or allowed sin to take root. But as we witness Jesus calling Lazarus to life, we are reminded that no situation is beyond God’s redeeming power. He can bring us back to life, renew our hearts, and give us the strength to continue walking in His light.
Prayer:
We trust that You are with us in our suffering, that You weep with us in our pain. Help us to open our hearts to Your transforming love, that we may walk in Your light and live according to Your will. Grant us the grace to be more like You, filled with compassion for those around us, and to trust in Your power to bring life where there is darkness.
We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the Resurrection and the Life. Amen.
Fasting is the soul of prayer, mercy is the lifeblood of fasting.
Let no-one try to separate them; they cannot be separated.
If you have only one of them, or not all together, you have nothing.
So if you pray, fast; if you fast, show mercy;
if you want your petition to be heard, hear the petition of others.
If you do not close your ear to others you open God’s ear to yourself! –St. Peter Chrysologus
Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16

Leave us your prayers…
