Day 33: 40 Days of Lent 2025

(April 11, 2025)

oday, reflect on the kind of love Jesus demonstrates: a love that gives without expecting anything in return, a love that endures rejection, pain, and even death. Can we love like that?

This is a good day to ask ourselves:

  • Have I truly made room for Christ in my heart during this Lent?
  • Am I loving others in a way that costs me something—my time, comfort, pride?
  • Do I resist the cross in my own life, or am I learning to carry it with Him?

Let the sacrifices we make today be done not out of obligation, but out of love.

Prayer:

Strengthen me, especially when I grow tired or discouraged, and remind me that every step closer to the cross brings me closer to resurrection.

The Eucharist is the secret of my day.  It gives strength and meaning to all my activities of service to the Church and to the world.” –Pope Saint John Paul II

Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
