(April 18, 2025)
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
โ Psalm 34:18
By Day 39 of Lent, youโd think weโd have it all together.
But honestly? Sometimes itโs still a struggle.
You might be feeling spiritually dry.
Maybe you havenโt fasted perfectly.
Maybe youโve fallen short in ways that are hard to admit.
But here’s something real and deeply comforting:
Jesus isnโt pulling away from youโHeโs coming closer.
This is the week He rides into Jerusalem knowing exactly whatโs ahead.
He knows the betrayal. The silence. The pain.
And stillโฆ He shows up.
So if youโre coming to Him today feeling a little broken, discouraged, or behind on your Lenten goalsโyouโre not disqualified. Youโre exactly the kind of person He came for.
He doesnโt need your perfection. He just wants your presence.
Prayer:
Jesus,
I donโt have much to offer todayโjust a heart thatโs a little weary, a little distracted, and still in need of Your mercy.
But Iโm here.
Thank You for not giving up on me.
Thank You for coming close, even when I feel far.
As You walk toward the cross, help me walk with Youโone honest step at a time.
Teach me to love like You do: not just in big gestures, but in quiet faithfulness.
Prepare my heart to enter Holy Week with reverence and hope.
I want to stay close to You. Please stay close to me.
Amen.

Make this Lent the best of your life (Prayer, Fasting, Repent, Almsgiving).
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
