About St. Cajetan
St. Cajetan (1480–1547) was born into a noble family in Vicenza, Italy. After earning doctorates in civil and canon law at the University of Padua, he was ordained a priest in 1506. Troubled by the widespread poverty and corruption of his time, he co‑founded the Congregation of Clerks Regular, commonly called the Theatines, in 1524.

Through the Theatines, Cajetan championed clerical reform, preached with zeal, and organized charitable relief for Rome’s poor and unemployed. He famously devised a system to match jobless workers with employers, trusting wholly in Divine Providence. Known for his austerity, deep prayer life, and unwavering faith in God’s care, he inspired renewal in both the clergy and laity. Canonized in 1671, St. Cajetan remains the Church’s patron for all seeking work and financial stability.

    I pray for a job that will allow me to be home with my kids or home when they get off of school. I’m looking for a remote job and/or a job that will allow me to support my kids (4) financially by myself. I pray for a financial breakthrough in my life so I can be a blessing to others. I pray that I get out of my own way and stop procrastinating and allow me to use the tools he has already given me to accomplish the things I need to do.     St . Cajetan please pray for my husband who has been laid off and unemployed for 6 months now.. only a miracle can break this curse of him always being placed on the lay off list and him losing jobs every 1-2yrs. It feels like such a bad curse on him. He’s a devout steward and still hopes for a blessing and this curse to be gone.
    He’s a nice kind and hardworking man. It has been nothing but worries and restlessness in our lives due to this. We are hoping to start a family and nothing is coming together. Please pray for my husband to get a job please and for peace and a blessed family together. St.Cajetan you are our last hope and prayer. If this prayer comes true soon,I promise to come back and post it

    Please pray for my husband. I have been praying the St. Cajetan novena over and over for a month. My husband has had three interviews with the same company and they requested his references last Friday and contacted at least 2 of the three on Monday. We are starting to worry he has heard nothing since then. It has been a long road and we have taken many hits the last few years including a child with cancer. He deserves this as it will offer peace and consistency and security vs the work he has been doing. He is such a nice man and works so hard. This would offer peace and calm for our children as well. I am hoping for stability. Please flood heaven with our prayers.

    My heart is full of gratitude for my prayers have been answered. I prayed two novenas for my nephew to find a job that would fill his heart, mind and home with the Lord’s grace and peace, allow him to be a good provider for his family.     My husband has been without a full time job 9 months now. He had an amazing career before and it’s been hard finding employment in his field. He feels defeated. We even just lost our fur baby who brought peace to us in the uncertain time. He has interviewed with a company 2 weeks ago and felt it went well. We are praying that through their process they find him to be the best candidate for this position. He is such and amazing man.     I humbly ask for you to provide me with multiple God ordained job offers so that I may start working next week. I pray you look over my children as I put in the hours. Please allow me to navigate my jobs so that I may get to the ones that are fitting for me. Please allow me to start working immediately, to get through December, to be able to give my daughter a nice birthday and to be able to give my daughter and son a nice Christmas and to be able to keep up with all of our bills while also being able to properly send my son off to school in January.     I’m writing of a successful answer to prayer. My husband and I stumbled upon St. Catejan 10 years ago and our prayers were answered more abundantly than we could have expected. We were very desperate after several layoffs and just purchasing a new house with 2 babies. We prayed this novena every day- we may have done it more than once. My husband got an amazing opportunity and was at the right place and the right time. Hang in there and trust the lord will take care of you!!!💕

    St Cajetan, Today is my first time hearing of you, and knowing that you are the patron Saint of the jobless and unemployed. I’m writing to you with a teary eyes and trembling hands. I’m a young graduate with good skills but I’m currently unemployed for over a year now. I go on my knees everyday asking God to help me. Family and friends, I feel have deserted me.     I’m hurting.

    I’ve been out of work for 15 months. I’m broke, desperate and alone. I wish that God would call me home because I can’t do this anymore. I have prayed another novena dedicated to you many, many times over the past year, but nothing has happened. I’m starting this novena now with the hope that you can help me.

    Please I need help. I’d like a job that fulfills me, satisfies me, doesn’t fill me with dread or or anxiety, is a service to others, helps others, and is a service to God Please let it come to me easily, or if I need to do something make the signs as big a s billboard. Please ask God to forgive my sins and my mistakes. And let his will be done through me.

    If this novena doesn’t work, I’m not sure my faith will survive.

      Dear Chris, I feel you brother. I had just finished today my Novena to St. Cajetan, along with other Novenas to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Lady of Good Success, and St. Joseph for employment. I have been out of job for 3 mo now that i need finance to support my 89 yr old mother. I am married and my husband is the only one supporting our day to day life but cant burden him supporting my mom. I surrender everything to the Lord for all this goal and i known in my heart nothing is impossible, all these needs will be given. My second day of Novena i received a second notification from job prospect i applied saying im illegible for the job and referred to hiring manager for interview soon! These among my many answered prayers -past and present. Novena prayers are powerful, dont be discouraged. Please include me here to be praying with you as we pray with the saints to present our needs to the Lord thru these Novenas.

I recited it in August, I have got some many rejection emails and failed interviews since I quit my job six months because of how was treated and the toxic work environment. I have continuously applied for various jobs and prayed a lot as well. Moved up. Left that company for current job. Entry level. Moved up. Recently contacted by 2 recruiters for better paying jobs. Better positions. Praying again one will work out if it is meant to be. She is also raising her 4 young children because of a very ugly divorce with her husband.     I prayed a novena to St. Cajetan for my eldest son who was laid off in late June. Today he was given an offer for a new position and we are very grateful. Thank you once again, St. Cajetan for your intervention!

    My son has taken college courses to be able to become employed in water, whether treatment, waste water, etc. my son has been applying for jobs, internships or apprenticeships for over a year. He kept receiving rejected because all these companies want experience. I have been praying St Cajetan Novena for over a month…..my son was hired and started working June 29th as a temporary part time job in water amongst other responsibilities. I will continue to pray for him to be hired permanently/ full time. Thank you St. Cajetan !!!!

    A follow up to my last reply: today my son (who was furloughed from his job in April) starts working at his company again this week and now will be a salaried employee (as opposed to an hourly intern). Many thanks to St Cajetan for once again intervening on my son’s behalf!

    I just finished a novena to St Cajetan today for my son who was furloughed recently from his job. I know my prayers will be answered because St. Catejan intervened twice before for my son, and once for my husband. Thank you, St. Cajetan for your continued help.
